Los Angeles Clippers small forward Marcus Morris was ejected from Sunday's Game 6 of their NBA Western Conference first round playoff series for a hard foul on Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic.
It happened late in the first quarter with the Clippers holding a 27-25 lead. Doncic took the ball all the way down the court and tried to dribble around Morris for a layup attempt and Morris got too aggressive in trying to stop him. After trying to steal the ball, Morris stepped on Doncic's left foot while whacking him in the head with both hands.
The play nearly triggered a brawl, but officials, coaches and other players stepped in to keep Doncic and Morris separated. After a review of the play, the officials gave Morris a flagrant 2, leading to an automatic ejection. Morris finished with 9 points in 11 minutes.
