Seattle Dragons chug Bud Light Seltzer to celebrate first XFL victory

Seattle Dragons celebrate first XFL victory by chugging Bud Light Seltzer 2/15/2020

Some of the Seattle Dragons players celebrated the team's first XFL victory by chugging Bud Light Seltzers.

Defensive end Anthony Johnson grabbed two cans of lime seltzer, while defensive tackle Will Sutton had a can of what appeared to be the black cherry flavor. Johnson smashed his cans together and sprayed them a lot before chugging his, while Sutton chugged his full can and smashed it on the ground.

Now these guys know how to celebrate. And this is just a regular season game. Just imagine what a championship celebration will be like.

XFL football. Gotta love it.

Luka Doncic as Marty McFly in Back to the Future parody video Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks PR department has created another fantastic hype video with their "Back to the Future" parody featuring some of the iconic movie scenes played by Mavs stars.

Luka Doncic plays the role of Marty McFly, and retired Maverick and future Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki appears very briefly in the role of Doc Brown (blink and you'll miss it!). "Mavs to the Future" also features Dorian Finney-Smith, Delon Wright, Dwight Powell and Seth Curry.

Greg McElroy steals Cris Collinsworth slide to open XFL Week 2 broadcast

Greg McElroy steals Cris Collinsworth slide XFL 2/15/2020

XFL analyst Greg McElroy tried to steal Cris Collinsworth's signature Sunday Night Football "slide" move to open the broadcast of Saturday's XFL Week 2 matchup between the New York Guardians and the D.C. Defenders.

Play-by-play man Steve Levy opened up the broadcast with a Collinsworth tweet with a positive review of XFL's Week 1 action.

That provided the perfect setup for McElroy to slide in from the right side of the screen next to Levy to mark his first appearance of the game, prompting Levy's deadpan reaction: "Really?"

McElroy's slide was not executed as smoothly as Collinsworth's trademark move used with Al Michaels during SNF broadcasts. As it happens, Collinsworth was watching and made sure to point that out with his review: "C’mon Greg it’s not a shoulder bump."

For those of us watching at home, it was hilarious. It's moments like this that give us hope that the XFL can succeed.

Alfonso Ribiero impersonates Chris Paul in new State Farm commercials

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul gets reduced to a supporting role in the latest round of State Farm commercials that began airing during NBA All-Star Weekend.

The series of ads features actor Alfonso Ribiero as "The New Chris Paul" where he tries to play himself off as the real CP3. With the exception of a small resemblance, his impersonation doesn't work - not even a little.

In this ad, Ribiero tries to film "The New Chris Paul Workout Show" but shatters a window while demonstrating a crossover with a barbell. Hilarity ensues as the real CP3 shows up and he jumps through a pane glass door.

Ribiero steals the show in this ad as he tries to steal CP3's parking space.

The tagline: "There's no replacing the real Chris Paul, just like there's no replacing State Farm."

The 2020 NBA Rising Stars Challenge was a slam dunk fest

Zion Williamson throws down alley oop slam dunk at NBA Rising Stars Challenge 2/14/2020

The 2020 NBA Rising Stars Challenge was held in Chicago on Friday night as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend, and it did not disappoint.

On the scoreboard, the USA team dominated the World team 151-131, but both sides put on a show for the fans. Thanks to Bleacher Report, we have a video compilation of every slam dunk from the game.

The standout highlights feature this year's Rookie of the Year candidates (and former AAU teammates) as Ja Morant set up Zion Williamson with the alley oop slam.

With the USA team holding a commanding lead as the game wound down, the final minute of the game turned into a dunk contest...literally. Unfortunately, Williamson couldn't take advantage of his opportunities as his attempts to bring the fans to their feet fell short.

Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges was named MVP with 20 points, five assists, five rebounds and three steals.

Michigan's Jimmy Obertop ejected for...swiping dirt with bat? (Video)

Michigan DH Jimmy Obertop ejected for swiping dirt with bat 2/14/2020

Michigan Wolverines freshman designated hitter Jimmy Obertop was ejected in an egregious case of an overreaction by an umpire during Friday night's MLB4 Collegiate Baseball Tournament game against Vanderbilt.

It happened in the top of the ninth inning with one out and Michigan holding a 4-3 lead. After taking a called strike two, Obertop put the tip of his bat down on the ground and swiped it back before stepping away from home plate to get ready for the next pitch. Apparently the home plate umpire misinterpreted the dirt swipe and felt Obertop was showing him up, and the umpire immediately ejected him.

Naturally, Obertop was stunned. Michigan manager Erik Bakich rightfully argued in defense of his player, but to no avail.

That's absolutely ridiculous for the home plate umpire to have such a quick trigger, especially given the game situation. Hopefully the NCAA reviews this and suspends the umpire accordingly. No excuse for this garbage.

Michigan held on for the 4-3 victory in a small measure of revenge from last year's College World Series final. Michigan plays Cal Poly on Saturday for the MLB4 tournament championship. Hopefully Obertop gets a chance to finish his at-bat next time.
